tom waits lyrics

I was dreaming last night
A figment of my brain
On the downtown train
And we had nowhere to go

So we got off to take a walk
In the pouring rain
You said you rode it once
And you ride it again
Please take me with you

Tom waits fir the morning train
To take us away
Me and Mr. Tom Waits
Can't wait no more

I'm wrapped around your finger
Two fingers on my lips
No need to speak
Cause it's all in your eyes

When they turned out the lights
They gave us one for the road
We hadded for the tracks
And never looked back
This could never be real

Tom waits for the morning train
To take us away
Me and Mr. Tom Waits
Can't wait no more
Can't wait no more
On the downtown train
Me and Mr. Tom Waits
