Baby used to want me, now she says, it's time to go
Says she needs some adventure
That she needs a brand new show
And I know the day today can get anybody down
But you don't have to run off
With the first new thing you've found
'Cause it just ain't it baby
You need my love, yeah, yeah
You might just be misdirected
It's you that I'm thinkin' of
Baby used to want me now treats me like yesterday's news
She brought the dog dinner and she brought me my walkin' shoes
Is that any way to treat the best friend you ever had?
Just to get your kicks
You gotta make me feel so bad
And it just ain't it baby
What you need is my love
You might just be misdirected
But it's you that I'm thinkin' of
Now the way I see it, I'm an ordinary guy
Don't look for trouble
In fact, I'm a little bit shy
Don't I give you the room that you need to be yourself
You don't have to worry
I won't leave for someone else
'Cause it just ain't it little girl!
Hey! You need my love
You might just be misdirected
It's you that I'm thinkin' of
