It's a mean black cat been
Sratchin' round my do'
Yes, there's a mean black cat been
Scratchin' round my do'
But if I catch him scratchin'
He ain't gon' scratch no mo'

Now this black cat is evil
He rambles late at night
Yes, this black cat is evil
He rambles late at night
You know he don't mean me no good
He won't treat nobody right

This black cat has been ramblin'
He been scratchin' all night long
This black cat been ramblin'
He been scratchin' all night long
When I come home last night
I found my baby gone.

'Play it, now'

(harmonica & piano to end)
