leni riefenstahl at the end of time lyrics

Do you want to judge me or do you want to judge my art
No, of course it's me you've come to try
You'd like me to be just a pretty face
Or a grinning bete noire
But I'm neither, that's a problem for you

Did I notice the world's gone mad around me
Leni at the end of time
Who pays your bills and what do you do
Leni at the end of time

The world around me has always been mad
Where have you been
Did I know people were dying
Do you even know people die
What could I have done if I did

In a world there is no luxury for this
Leni at the end of time
I followed my muse I followed nothing else
Leni at the end of time

I leave you so unsatisfied that I'm unrepentant and still alive
How I will outlive you all and how I outclass you all
Congratulate yourselves on what you would have done
But you never did, never had to try
To think, to fight, to live, to die or what

Another charming movie actress
A B-movie villainess
No thank you, I do not want it
Talk to me when you give back your grants

Did I notice the world gone mad around me
Leni at the end of time
I followed my muse I followed nothing else
Leni at the end of time
