Song: it's about you
I sat down last week
To write a song about love
Something to make young lovers cry
But I was lost in doubt
I'd never had what I was writing about
So I took one year ago and wrote a song about why
And it's about you, you
The things you made me do
And how you turned and walked away
Yeah it's about you and the things you put me through
And how I'm doing alright today
Now the rain was pouring down
When you put me on the ground
And I stayed down for a long, long time
Now I hear your broke and your man's a dirty joke
The kind of news that makes me smile
And it's about you, you
The things you made me do
And how you turned and walked away
Yeah it's about you and the things you put me through
And how I'm doing alright today
