Artist: The Mutton Birds
Song: in my room
(Don McGlashan)
In my room I can keep everything within reach
All the switches and fittings are new
I have tapped on the walls and I've paced out the floor
And I know every inch of the ceiling too
But I keep seeing you
Yes I keep seeing you
In my room I have built a religion of a kind
I've found virtue in things that stay the same
In my room I measure time by the things that I use up
And just like my shopping list I will never change
But I keep seeing you
Yes I keep seeing you
And I don't recognise where I am
All the shapes and the shadows start to spin
Because you're the one that finally let me in
To my room
In my room
In my room a river runs along the wall above my bed
In my room a mountain stands behind the door
There is nothing I'm denied, I don't need to go outside
Because in my room I cannot ask for more
And I don't recognise where I am
All the shapes and the shadows start to spin
Because you're the one that finally showed me...
That I've never been here before
No I don't think that I've been here before,
No I don't think that I've been here before,
No I don't think that I've been here before
'cause I don't recognise where I am
All the shapes and the shadows start to spin
Because you're the one that finally let me in
To my room
