goodbye lady lyrics

Written by: Micky Braun, Mark McCoy

When I first met you, I was a dreamer
I didn’t let nothing stand in my way,
I was looking for another soul to understand me
But you weren’t wild enough for me

CHORUS

Goodbye lady, wish you could save me tonight
I was so wrong, I waited too long
I didn’t know how to treat you right
As I wandered, across this great land
Looking for a girl to hold out her hand
The days got longer, the nights got harder
I started searching for the end

CHORUS

So I called you, when I was passing through
I asked you out for the night
She said sorry, I just can’t see you
You know it just wouldn’t be right

CHORUS
