god won't mind lyrics

(maitland)

Here's a tale of warning
For you children being born
About a sweet young christian girl
Who donned a crown of thorns

Seems her christian parents
Never wanted her around
Sent her to a convent school
And a guilt trip hand-me-dwn

There was never need for this
Until someone showed her how
Jesus christ could burn your soul
Look at her now

She got hitched up to
The first young christian man she met
Had a child in late july
The guilt trip goes on yet

There was never need for this
Until someone showed her how
Jesus christ could burn your soul
Look at her now

So to all of you who are told
That God may strike you blind
Leave your churches one and all
And leave your guilt trips behind

Surely God won't mind
