Don't mistreat yo' woman
When you know you're doin' wrong, yourself
Don't mistreat yo' woman
When you know you're doin' wrong, yourself
She will try to make a fool outta you
Go wild about somebody else

Now, once had a good woman
But you know I didn't treat her right
Now, once had a good woman
But you know I didn't treat her right
An now she's gone an left me
I have to sleep by myself at night

Now, if you got a good woman
You better always treat her right
Now if you got a good woman
You better always treat her right
Because you know you'll miss her
On some rainy night

'Play that thing'

(slide guitar)

Now, if I ever get another good woman
I'm gon' know how to treat her right
Now, if I ever get another good woman
I'm gon' know how to treat her right
Because you know it's too lonesome
To sleep by yo'self at night.
