angel lyrics

I lay awake while you sleep
Counting every breath you breathe
Girl, I just can't close my eyes
'Cause you are so beautiful to me

I hold you near in my arms
I pray the morning would never come
Heaven must have sent you to me
'Cause you're much more than I could ever dream

I found an Angel, here in my life
I found an Angel and you were here all this time
I found an Angel, lying right by my side, tonight

I run my hand through your hair
And all my thoughts seem to disappear
There's no one else in the world
Only you, only me, such sweet melody

I said I love you before, yes I did
But tonight those words
They mean so much more

Promise you'll always stay
Forever and a day
I promise to love you
Like never before

I found, I found an Angel, here in my life, I found
I found an Angel and you were here all this time
I found an Angel, lying right by my side tonight, tonight

One thought of me making love to you
And I start goin' out of my head
I found an Angel, I know that it's true
Right out of my dreams, you were sent here for me

Sent to me from heaven above
I found an Angel

I found an Angel, here in my life, I found
I found an Angel and you were here all this time
I found an Angel, lying right by my side
And I'm never gonna let you go, my Angel

I found an Angel
I found an Angel and you were here right by my side, baby
I found an Angel, lying right by my side
And now I just want to tell the world
That I, I found an Angel
